Antonio Cummings is a familiar face at ACM. While he always stayed focused on his grades, he was also very active with several extracurricular activities. After graduating in 2019 with Associate鈥檚 degrees in Sociology and General Studies, as well as a Letter of Recognition in Leadership Development, he continued his academic endeavors at Towson University, where he earned a Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Communication Studies.
Now living in Glenn Burnie, MD, Antonio is working as a Store Operations Service Team Leader at Wegman鈥檚 and currently pursuing an Informational Agent position with Anne Arundel Community College. He is interested in a career in Higher Education, particularly in Student Life, where he could continue to work with students, be a mentor, and help them achieve their goals.
Antonio recently came back for a visit to speak with the Aspiring Young Mentors group, of which, he was a charter member. While he may not be at every meeting, he does plan to continue working with AYM because, as he told the group, 鈥淚t鈥檚 important to have young men who care about them.鈥 He talked about his own experience, shared some valuable advice, gave encouragement, and even gave them his personal phone number if they ever needed to reach out.
As for his future plans, he is pursuing a career, continuing to serve as a mentor for AYM, considering writing a book, and planning to attend grad school when the time is right. While we may not know what the future holds, Antonio鈥檚 will surely be bright.
