Being an ACM Allied Health student isn鈥檛 easy but our instructors are here to help.
In your experience, what are the 鈥渟uperpowers鈥 that make a great instructor stand
out? What makes a great instructor stand out is their ability to compromise and see the
students鈥 point of view on a topic. The instructors care and want to see their students
succeed. They also show compassion towards students when they know they鈥檙e struggling,
they care for their student鈥檚 well-being.
Has there been a moment in class or an interaction with an instructor or staff member
that stands out to you? Tell us about it. I鈥檝e had many interactions. This semester my instructors have cheered me on the entire
time. Our pharmacy instructor Joe Glass has always reminded me that I鈥檓 almost done
with the semester. Joe knows how mush I struggle with math, he always tells me that
it鈥檚 okay to be frustrated but to take a breath and start over while breaking it down
so I can better understand the situation. In those moments it reassures me that he
cars and he鈥檚 willing to start over so I understand the concept.
What鈥檚 been your superpower that鈥檚 made you a great Allied Health student? Honestly, seeing and understanding others point of view or situations knowing that
I really want to succeed in my career to helping others. 鈥
What鈥檚 your favorite piece of technology at school or work? My phone or tablet.
What 3 things do you like (or love, we鈥檒l always take love) about the courses in your
major? I love learning hands on labs. I love my instructors, without them I would know nothing.
I love the organization my classes are in.
What experience (or class) at ACM surprised you the most? Into to health and wellness, the class is so much fun because everyone gets into discussion
of the topic and Cindy Gero, our instructor, keeps everyone engaged in the discussion.
It鈥檚 nothing like I thought it would be, it鈥檚 very informational.
What are your plans after graduation? I want to go back to ACM and obtain my Associates degree while working at PharmaCare
